He started a Christian rock trio by the name of Big Difference and played gigs along the Gulf coast. By age 19, Scott quit the club scene and started to focus on music that supported his newly found faith.

Scott began playing in top 40 club bands at the young age of 16, which helped broaden his playing styles. In high school he delved into jazz artists such as Al DiMeola and Chick Corea. He started playing guitar and joined his first band at age 9. Scott Bernard was born into a musical family in the small town of New Iberia, La., where he was heavily influenced by his older siblings record collections which included albums by The Beatles, Kansas, Queen, Electric Light Orchestra, Paul McCartney and Wings among others. Keith continues to sing with various Nashville bands, when he’s not fronting Child’s Anthem. After 8 years with Greenwood, Keith was asked to sing with Louisanna’s LeRoux in 2010. He also continued writing and performing with LA area musicans, including Mike Porcaro of Toto.Īfter meeting and marrying his wife Janna, the two of them moved to Nashville, where Keith was asked to sing and tour with Lee Greenwood. Paich immediately invited Keith to go to Japan and sing with Toto on their “In Search Of The Hydra” world tour, in 1980.įollowing that tour, Keith went back to LA where he continued to work as a studio vocalist, singing on major motion picture soundtracks, such as Rocky IV, Summer Rental, Stayin’ Alive, and many others. On Keith’s first day in LA, he went to a recording session with Bobby, where David Paich (Keyboardist and founding member of Toto) heard Keith sing. Bobby suggested that Keith move to LA to work with the band Three Dog Night. Keith grew up singing in area bands in southern Louisiana, where he met Bobby Kimball (original lead vocalist for Toto).
